Paula Barber, our Director of Administration, joined Temple Beth-El in 2006. She works closely with our clergy, office staff members and lay leaders overseeing membership and member relations, financial management, program coordination, facility management, and communications.
Before joining the staff at Temple Beth-El, Paula was Community Relations Director and Medical Social Worker for Patient Care, Inc. in Essex County, NJ. A licensed clinical social worker, Paula is also a graduate of the Chubb Institute, with a diploma in Network Engineering and Data Communications. Paula was Director of Administration for Homeless Solutions, Inc. in Morris County, NJ. She currently serves on the Ritual Committee of the Morristown Jewish Center where she is a member, and is a regular volunteer at the Community Soup Kitchen at the Church of the Redeemer in Morristown. Paula has served on the boards of many non-profit organizations within New Jersey, providing her skills and knowledge on the strategic planning committees of both the Guardianship Association of New Jersey and First Call for Help, and serving as treasurer for both the NJ Professional Geriatric Care Managers and Aviva Hadassah.
Paula Barber lives in Morristown, NJ with her husband Howard. They have three children, Jacob, Joseph and Shoshannah.
