We appreciate and encourage the giving of Tzedekah to the following funds.

Adult Education: Temple Beth-El has a strong Adult Education program that encourages the continuing education of every member of our community with the assistance of this fund.

Beautification: This fund is dedicated to maintaining, beautifying and decorating our building.

Brotherhood Youth Scholarship: This fund assists members of our Temple youth to attend Jewish camps, youth events, and/or trips.

Cantor’s Discretionary Fund: Our Cantor uses this fund to assist congregants who are in need. This fund is also used to help support the music programs available in our Temple community. NOTE: Please make check out to Cantor’s Discretionary Fund.

Cemetery Fund: Maintain and purchase cemetery plots.

Computers: Maintain and update our information technology infrastructure.

Early Childhood Education: Contributions support the educational and supplemental programs of our Early Childhood Education Center and Summer Day Camp.

Garden: Our congregants have planted a beautifully landscaped garden, which includes flowers, plants, and outdoor sitting areas. Our garden is maintained by members of our Temple family and provides a place of study and socialization.

Holocaust Education: This fund subsidizes guest speakers to educate our children and adults on the Shoah. These speakers include Holocaust historians and Holocaust survivors.

Israel Matters: Temple Beth-El remains committed to the State of Israel. This fund helps our Temple Community maintain our connection and obligation to help the State of Israel and its people through Israeli programming within our synagogue.

Israel Scholarship: Provides financial support to allow our students to experience the vibrant culture of Israel first-hand.

Jules Swickle Chesed FundCreated in honor of one of our founding members, the Chesed Fund enables acts of loving kindness to those in need.

Kesher Network: For those unable to attend services due to illness or distance, we participate in a network that enables individuals to listen to services via phone.

L’Dor Va-DorThe aim of this campaign, translated as “From Generation to Generation,” is to ensure the financial security of Temple Beth-El for generations to come. Key goals are to retire the congregation’s mortgage, create a capital reserve for future needs, and establish an operating endowment fund.

Library FundOur Judaic library continues to grow, thanks to the donations of many. This fund helps us acquire new volumes and keep the library comfortable for reading and programs.

Mazon Hunger Fund: Mazon, the Jewish Response to Hunger, is an international organization dedicated to alleviating hunger. Contributions to Mazon assist food kitchens and supplement food supplies all over the world.

Memorial Fund: Maintain and expand our Yahrzeit plaque display in the sanctuary.

Prayer Book Fund: Repair and purchase prayer books and Torah Commentaries for the sanctuary.

Rabbi’s Discretionary Funds: Rabbi Gluck and Rabbi SalthOur Rabbis use their funds to assist congregants who are in need. NOTE: Please make check out to Rabbi ______’s Discretionary Fund.

Religious School Enrichment: Supports special programming for our students.

Social Action Fund: Supports the Interfaith Hospitality Network and our hosting activities; provides funds to respond to disaster relief programs around the world.

Social Action Tzedakah: Funds from the Tzedakah box located in the lobby outside the office are allocated to specific projects designed by the Social Action Committee.

Torah Restoration: Maintain our Sacred Scrolls.

Youth Activities: Support programming for our Youth Groups.
