YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Temple Beth-El prides itself as an inclusive community for all ages. Our Youth Groups are no exception. In fact, over the past few years we have expanded this part of temple life for our members’ children. 

Most importantly, these groups provide a place where our temple youth can come to form friendships with their temple peers and grow their Jewish identity through a variety of social action and spiritual opportunities. And each Youth Group has its own parental advisors to oversee and closely supervise the programs.

        SMOOCHY       HUGS       SHRUGS     REGISTER

SMOOCHY

 SMOOCHY is geared toward 9^th to 12^th graders

• Paid membership of $36 includes:
• Exciting events including camping, paint-balling, shul-ins, latke-making
• Complimentary opening picnic in September
• Reduced prices at all SMOOCHY events
• Membership in National Federation of Temple Youth, Garden Empire Regions (NFTY-GER) so you can attend all regional and national events.

HUGS

HUGS is Temple Beth-El’s 7^th & 8^th grade youth group. Membership in HUGS is open to all Jewish 7^th and 8^th graders in TBE and the surrounding area. HUGS membership is automatic for kids enrolled in TBE religious school.

• HUGS members get together once a month to do fun events both on and off site. These events help bring our youth closer together. Some of the upcoming events include a haunted hayride, laser tag, bowling, movie night, a Shul-in, and a social action event in May. Come join us and see how much fun we have!

SHRUGS

• Membership in SHRUGS is open to all Jewish 5^th and 6^th graders in Temple Beth-El and surrounding area.
• Monthly activities include bowling, movie nights, shul-ins, social action events and much more….
